Rock Creek Mansion offers the intimacy of a private residence with the space of an elegant ballroom. Whether your group is 50 or 200, you will feel at home.
Since completing a renovation, the mansion has become a favorite spot for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, anniversary and holiday parties, corporate entertaining and fundraisers.
Conveniently located at the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and West Cedar Lane, we are two miles inside the Capital Beltway and close to Northwest Washington and Northern Virginia.

The house
A field stone welcome at the top of a circular drive
An ample, well-lit parking lot sits behind the building, and the covered side entrance has no stairs to maneuver — easy arrival for every guest, in any weather. A private bridal changing room is available on request.
Lounge & built-in bar
A fireplace, a mantle for photographs and a flat screen above the bar make the cocktail hour feel like a private home.
Chandelier ballroom
Sconces, tall windows and a black-and-white tiled floor. Dimmed at night for dining and dancing in one room.
Patio & lawn
A private patio overlooking the lawn, tentable for an additional fee, with a backdrop of mature trees for ceremonies.
Prep kitchen for caterers
Warming oven and refrigeration at the front of the building, with easy load-in for your approved caterer.
Tables & chairs included
We pre-set for 170 indoors and 24 on the patio. Set-up and use of our equipment is included in the rental.
Our own bar staff
All beer, wine and spirits are purchased and served by the Rock Creek bar staff, with a range of beverage packages.
Weddings
The feel of a private home, with room to dance
Plan an outdoor ceremony on the lawn and cocktails on the patio, with a sizable ballroom waiting in the event of weather. The foyer's elegant staircase is ideal for bridal party pictures, and the mantle in the lounge is made for photographs and personal details.
Lots of windows make a bright daytime room; the chandeliers dim for evening. The ballroom can be set in a variety of configurations, and padded chairs are included with the rental.

Bar & Bat Mitzvahs
Adults in the lounge, kids on the dance floor
The circular driveway makes drop-off and pick-up simple, and parents can head into Bethesda for a meal while the party runs. Greet guests in the foyer, move the adults into the lounge for cocktails and send the kids into the ballroom for dancing and games.
The L-shaped ballroom seats adults on one side and children on the other with dancing in the middle — no divider needed. The side entrance makes load-in easy for a band, casino tables, a photo booth or couches, and the lawn has room for field day games or a moon bounce.

Privacy, parking and a fireplace
Less than a mile inside the Capital Beltway with ample free parking. The ballroom holds 180 theater-style, 160 for banquet seating and up to 200 for a cocktail party — a longtime favorite for holiday parties.
The fireplace makes the lounge intimate in winter while the patio opens up as an open-air bar in warm months. Reunions, anniversaries, birthdays, family-friendly fundraisers and civic events all work well here.
